At small group last night we looked at the topic, what is true spirituality. I want to give you the definition found in our Pursuing Spiritual Transformation curriculum.
[To pursue spiritual life means to know Jesus more intimately and
live as if he were in your place.]
Jesus dealt with the true meaning of spirituality extensively with the conversation he had with the Pharisees in Matthew 23. Their religious piety, legalism, two faced living, road blocking heaven and hypocrisy fired him up. May we all examine our lives to see if we are spiritual according to the way we define it, the way we were taught or the way Jesus defined it.
