Watch me and follow my lead

While studying the life of Gideon, something jumped off the page at me. Right before Gideon was headed into battle, he instructed his soldiers to, "Watch me and follow my lead!" He told them to keep their eyes on him and do what he did. As leaders this must be our battle cry to those who are following us. Watch me and follow my lead. But remember before they can watch us and follow first we have to be following Jesus and going in the right direction or we will lead our team into enemy territory. Sweet study! Thanks Gideon for the lesson on leadership-keep your eyes on me and do what I do.
