Preaching

I have really enjoyed reading communicating for a change. Andy made a huge point that really has stuck with me. We should be able to preach without notes! How can we expect our audience to leave remembering what we have said if we can't? I think this is so true. As preachers, we get mad when someone can't recall our sermon from last week but why do we get mad at them when we can't remember either. This is something I am in the process of changing. Pray for me as I attempt to preach with limited (not ready for none) notes tomorrow. I will let you know how I do. If you haven't read this book you owe it to yourself to read it.
