Trouble On The Hill

Things seem to be spiralling out of control for Houston Nutt and the Arkansas Razorbacks. The coach and players who came to Arkansas from Springdale High School seem to be causing a lot of problems for Houston. On Monday, Guz Malzahn left Arkansas for a assistant coach/co-offensive coordinator position at Tulsa. Then today, Mitch Mustain was granted a release from the team. Guz's hurry up, no huddle offense did not fit into the offensive scheme this year at Arkansas. When you have backs like McFadden and Jones, you have to tailor the offensive around them. Mustain was 8-0 as a starter but in my opinion didn't look like the High School Parade All American quarterback. I guess we will see what happens between now and August. With McFadden and Jones, we will still have a great year. It will be interesting to see what kind of pressure fans and boosters will place on Nutt for the exiting of Malzahn, Mustain & Damian Williams (wide receiver who left in December & signed with Southern California). Ben Cleveland, the other player from Springdale is probably working on his release speech as I type.
